The GSS 8001/8002 is water-resistant, featuring a polyurethane (PU) coated 100% polyester shell and taped, sealed seams that help block wind, snow, and light rain. It will keep you dry in typical winter weather, but is not meant for extended exposure to heavy rainfall.
Does this jacket come with a hood? Can the hood be removed?
Yes, every GSS 8001 and 8002 jacket includes a hood. The hood is both removable and concealable, so you can detach it or tuck it away inside the collar as needed.
Can the hood fit over a hard hat?
The hood on this jacket is not large enough to fit over a hard hat.
Does the GSS 8001/8002 have a removable liner?
No, the quilted polyester liner is not removable. If you want a similar jacket with a zip-out liner, check out the GSS 8003/8004 models.
How warm is the GSS 8001/8002 Bomber Jacket?
This jacket is insulated with 4.75 oz poly-fill for warmth and features a quilted lining. There is no official temperature rating, but it is designed for general cold weather conditions. Individual comfort may vary, especially in extreme temperatures.
Can you machine wash this jacket?
Yes. Machine wash cold with mild detergent. Do not bleach. Hang to dry. Do not iron. For best results, wash and dry the jacket inside out to help protect the reflective tape.
