ANSI 207 safety vests are intended for emergency and incident responders, as well as law enforcement personnel whose jobs require them to have quick and easy access to tactical equipment located on their belts. The variation in this compliance standard allows for lesser fluorescent background material or retro-reflective tape in favor of color-coded background material to quickly provide a visual reference of which department of public service you are associated with - such as police, sheriff, fire department, ems, etc. Shop our selection of high-visibility public safety vests today and save with our everyday low pricing.

PUBLIC SAFETY VESTS
Public safety vests are classified as ANSI 207 compliant. They are different from regular ANSI vests in that they are used primarily by first responders and emergency personnel. It requires minimum visibility but maximum design to optimize the wearer’s ability to access his or her emergency tools. Officers and paramedics previously had to wear regular ANSI-compliant vests. However, standard vests hung over the tools on their belts making it much more difficult to quickly and easily grab critical self-defense or life-saving tools. Public Safety vests offer a better, more functional alternative to the old standard requirements.
