ANSI HiVis Red is the latest fluorescent color approved by the American National Standards Institute used for high visibility safety apparel. The ANSI Fluorescent Red color joins its predecessors, ANSI Fluorescent Yellow-Green and ANSI Fluorescent Orange-Red, providing end-users with three color options to help them stand out during the daytime.
Users should evaluate the work and natural environment they will be working in to determine the most noticeable color for daytime use. One environment in which the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) has come out and said high visibility red or orange should be worn is for flagmen during road construction or temporary traffic control environments.
